SpotCView

SpotCView was designed for situations where results from fully-automated processes are not likely to be completely reliable.  For specific samples and staining protocols, the user may define the level of automation in the scanning process, which can range from full 'walk away' operation to high user-controlled processes for defining regions and cells suitable for analysis.

SpotCView is designed to cut down tedious work of signal counting and amplification measuring.  When used with manually-captured images, it becomes a viable and affordable alternative to fully-automated scanning.

SpotCView is an extension of ASI's FISHView software and is suitable for both clinical and research cytogenetics laboratories.  It fits primarily to most clinical FISH kits, such as Her2neu (tissue) p53, BCR-ABL (translocations) and telemoric probes (quantifications).

Special and novel tools were designed to enable the segmentation of the very dense cell structure typical to breast tumor samples. The user interface enables any required modification, and reports are customized to provide statistical and pictorial information.

Capture and analysis can be performed on separate stations or interactively on the same station.

The SpotScan is FDA cleared for In Vitro Diagnostic procedures of detection of the following cell types:
CEP® X Spectrum Orange™/CEP® Y Spectrum Green™ DNA Probe kit (Vysis, Inc. Downer’s Grove, IL) and is limited to the analysis of CEP XY probes via high magnification capture and analysis of interphase nuclei.
Use of SpotCView for detection of other cell types is limited to research only.
